Victoria Scott

International eventer

Diploma : Instructor/Coach level 1
Mounts : Song, Valtho

Victoria Scott is a South African eventer, living in France and competing internationally up to FEI 4* level.

She started riding at about the age of 4. Coming from a non-horsey family, they all knew nothing about horses and so her early riding years were spent as a real novice.

As a junior she started to have more success. In 2004 she won the South African junior eventing championships on her horse Current Flame.

In 2008 she took her horse Current Flame to the UK where they competed up to FEI 3* level until he was diagnosed with kissing spine. She returned back to South Africa where she continued competing in FEI eventing and show jumping up to 1.40m.

In 2013 she took her horse Leander 252 to France to base with Rodolphe Scherer. They had a lot of success including winning the under 26 years Butet challenge at Saumur. She continue to be based in France with Team Scherer and hope to achieve my Olympic and 4* dreams.

Victoria is extremely lucky to be able to follow her dream: “My supportive and dedicated family has made this possible for me, without them I may not have such an amazing opportunity.”

She is now married to Edouard Legendre, eventer also member of the Paskateam. In 2018, she is taking part to the World Equestrian Games in Tryon (USA). But she keeps in mind her Olympic dream.
